What we're drinking now (!)
Edmeades Perli Vineyard Zinfandel 2007
USA - California, Red Wine
0252338(D)750 mL16% Alc./Vol.
Tasting note: Consistent with Robert Parker's tasting note from 2010, this Mendocino Zin has an intoxicating nose full of spice box, herbs and creamy raspberry fruit. The well-focused fruit is only slightly softened by a hint of oak, balanced off by now-subtle acids. The alcohol is somewhat more apparent than in 2010, but is a welcome zing to the existing whispers of kirsch. An easy 94 points. - Rachel
